A9.com: Search specific information sources such as blogs, the Yellow Pages, Movies or Flickr. Includes Amazon's book database.

Alexa.com: Conduct a search of browse by category at Alexa. Use the Traffic Rankings > Site Info feature to discover more information about the site you are viewing. This is a useful evaluation tool.

Ask: After a search, it includes "Narrow Your Search" options. Hover over the binoculars for a preview of the page.

IT.com: Access information about information technology solutions. Limit to news, companies, papers or webcasts.

IXQUICK: Searches many popular search engines at the same time. Five stars means that five search engines rated the site as one of their top ten results.

KartOO: Provides results in a visual format. Choose a new visual map by clicking on a topic listed at the left of the screen.

Vivisimo: Provides clustered results to help you find the category of information most useful to you.

Wisenut: A general search engine which clusters results into categories.

Yahoo! Search: Search the web or Creative Commons. Content with a Creative Commons license can be shared or reused under certain conditions.

Google Image Search: Looking for pictures? Access Google's image search.
