My ILL Requests

Introduction

This tutorial will show you how to access and manage your Interlibrary Loan requests.

My ILL Requests is your personalized account of Interlibrary Loan items. Use My ILL Requests to view items in process, see received items, and cancel requests.

Renewals can only be made through your My ILL Requests.

Use the active webpage on your right to complete the tutorial.

Accessing My ILL Requests

To access My ILL Requests, go to My Library Account in the upper right hand corner of the library's home page.

Click on the My ILL Requests link.

Logging in to My ILL Requests

Log in to My ILL Requests by filling out/selecting the following information:

  • Library Card/Account number = your UCMnetID (jdoe17)
  • Home Campus = UCM

Click on Login

  • You will see only your most current ILL requests.
  • To view older requests, click the Show everything box in the upper left hand corner of the page.
  • To see more information on any of your requests, click the linked title.

Renewing Your ILL Checkouts

To request an extension to keep books beyond the original loan period:

  • Click Renew 14-7 days before the due date.
  • Not all requests for renewal are granted. Loan periods and renewals are determined by the lending library.
  • If the renewal is approved, you will receive an email notification, and a new due date will appear in your My ILL Account. 
  • If the renewal request is denied, you will be contacted via email.

My ILL Request has additional Search and My Account features in the left-hand side bar:

  • Link directly to Melvyl
  • Use Citation Linker
  • See your account details
  • Get help (FAQs)
