Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a search engine providng access to scholarly articles. Some of these articles are available for free and can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection. However, most of the articles are only available through library subscriptions and can be accessed only while on the campus network. Use UCe-Links to get the full text of the article or to get the article through Interlibrary Loan.

Next Generation Melvyl

A pilot version of the current Melvyl Catalog, Next Gen Melvyl searches for articles and books available at UC Libraries and libraries beyond.  To search specifically for articles, enter your subject term(s) and click the search button.  On the results page, use the "Article" link under Format to show only articles on your subject.

JSTOR

Search by subject or browse full text of more than 500 scholarly journals in social sciences, humanities, and sciences, to their earliest issues. Many titles extend as far back as late 19th or early 20th centuries; most recent 3-5 years not included.

This searchable database includes diaries, letters, autobiographies and other memoirs, written and oral histories, manifestos, government documents, memorabilia, and scholarly commentary.
