Acta Sanctorum 
Description: The Acta Sanctorum Database is an electronic version of the complete texts of the sixty-eight printed volumes of Acta Sanctorum, published in Antwerp and Brussels, from the two January volumes published in 1643 to the Propylaeum to December published in 1940. The Acta Sanctorum comprises the works published over a period of three hundred years by the Societe des Bollandistes. The Acta Sanctorum Database contains the complete Acta Sanctorum, including all prefatory material, original texts, critical apparatus and indexes. Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina reference numbers, essential references for scholars, are also included.

Description: This is the first electronic database to document the history of African American music in an online music listening service of approximately 50,000 digital music tracks by African Americans. The collection contains a diverse range of genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and narratives, among others. Alloy Phase Diagram Center Online 
Description: The ASM Alloy Phase Diagrams Center allows subscribers to explore, search and view more than 11,000 binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data for more than 2400 systems from their Web browsers. The first release contains 8,000 binary phase diagrams and 2,000 ternary phase diagrams. After two updates, the collection will be comprised of 10,000 binary and 20,000 ternary diagrams. The first update will occur in September and include close to 18,000 ternary diagrams.

Description: Produced in collaboration with the American Film Institute, the American Film Institute Catalog is the most comprehensive and detailed national filmography in the world. The Catalog includes the entire print version, which currently comprises five volumes documenting all films produced in the United States from 1892 to 1971, as well as new content and important updates for all previous records. Also included are records for the Institute's Top Ten Films for the years 2000 to 2004. Description: "A multimedia anthology selected from various Library of Congress holdings ... This collection illustrates the vibrant and diverse forms of popular entertainment, especially vaudeville, that thrived from 1870-1920." Includes 334 English- and Yiddish-language play scripts, more than 140 theater playbills and programs, several dozen motion pictures, ten sound recordings, and a substantial collection of photographs and ephemera on Harry Houdini. Description: 1975-present. NASA-funded database provides access to four sets of abstracts with links to full-text images of journal articles. This NASA-funded service provides access to four sets of abstracts dating back to 1975: astronomical articles, space instrumentation and engineering articles, physics and geophysics articles, and the Los Alamos preprint server. They include abstracts from all major journals, many minor journals, conference proceedings, NASA reports, and many PhD theses. CiNii Citation Information by National Institute of Informatics NII Scholarly and Academic Information Navigator 
Description: A Japanese-language database service that enables searching of information in academic papers published in academic society journals or university research bulletins, or included in the National Diet Library's Japanese Periodicals Index Database. The National Institute of Informatics has incorporated approximately 2.8 million full text articles (PDF) in NII-ELS, from 1,000 published academic journals. Currently NII has obtained permission of 271 academic societies. NII-ELS also provides full text (PDF) of Research Bulletins of Japanese universities. All of the full text articles incorporated in NII-ELS are available through CiNii along with bibliographical information on other academic papers.

Digital National Security Archive 
Description: Nearly 40,000 declassified government documents from 1945 to present, organized into collections, each focused on a single topic. Other declassified documents freely available at National Security Archive site The National Security Archive is a non-profit research institute and library in Washington, D.C., which provides unprecedented public access to declassified government documents obtained through extensive use of the US Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Each collection contains a diverse range of policy documents including presidential directives, memos, diplomatic dispatches, meeting notes, independent reports, briefing papers, White House communications, email, confidential letters and other secret material. Additionally, contextual and reference supplements are provided for each collection, including general introductory material, a chronology, glossary and bibliography. Documents have been selected and identified by leading scholars in each of the topic areas covered and have been indexed to permit item and page-level searching across more than 20 combinable fields.

Encyclopedia of Taiwan 
Description: (Taiwan Wenxian Congkan) The Encyclopedia of Taiwan includes abstracts and indexing from thousands of books and is the largest single database on Taiwanese history in the Chinese language. Based on the Taiwan Literature Series edited by former Dean of the National Taiwan University Law School Chou Hsien-Wen, it is the most heavily referenced database of its kind. The database contains 595 books divided into 309 categories. The Encyclopedia of Taiwan incorporates local histories, official documents of the Ming, Qin and Nan-Ming Dynasties, poetry, and private collections. Much of the content is comprised of sole copies and rare out-of-print books. The Encyclopedia of Taiwan spans the Tang Dynasty period to the period of Japanese occupation. The content has been assembled from Taiwanese libraries, as well as various libraries in Japan, Hong Kong, the USA, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Covering multiple dimensions of study, including geography, local customs, politics, economics, sociology, laws and culture, it is the most comprehensive historical resource for understanding Taiwan.

Description: The Encyclopedia of Women and Islamic Cultures (EWIC) is an interdisciplinary, trans-historical, and global project. Description: The Hartill collection contains 16,660 images of art and architecture (primarily architecture). The Hartill Collection includes works from major periods, and monuments such as the Great Pyramids at Giza, Stonehenge, and the Viet Nam War Memorial. Covers the architectural history of the Western world from earliest antiquity through the present, and from the Middle East to the Americas. Includes thousands of details of architectural decoration, mosaics, sculpture and stained glass, as well as related decorative arts and public sculpture. Exceptionally strong in European medieval architecture and sculpture of the Romanesque and Gothic periods; additionally, modern architecture and sculpture are both especially well represented.

House of Commons Parlimentary Papers 
Description: (HCPP) This database houses a vital pathway to the historical record of Britain, its former Colonies and the wider world. They are among the richest and most detailed primary sources for the history of the past two centuries, and are fundamental to an understanding of current legislation, policy making and the political environment. Between 1801 and 2000, around 9.5 million pages for over 184,000 parliamentary papers were published. Since 2001, the number of papers has grown by approximately 4,000 for each parliamentary session. HCPP delivers searchable full text for each paper, along with a detailed subject index.

Description: (also known as IIPA) 1864- Draws its content from more than 210 scholarly and popular performing arts periodicals, and also indexes a variety of documents such as biographical profiles, conference papers, obituaries, interviews, discographies, reviews and events. Covers nearly all aspects of performing arts, from scholarly studies to snapshots of popular culture, including arts and entertainment industry-dance, film, television, drama, theater, stagecraft, musical theater, broadcast arts, circus performance, comedy, storytelling, opera, pantomime, puppetry, magic and more. Most IIPA Full Text records in the current coverage contain an abstract, and selected records contain corresponding full text of the original article. Every IIPA Full Text record in the current file (1998 forward) contains an abstract.

L'Annee philologique 
Description: This is a database published by the Societe Internationale de Bibliographie Classique containing 600,000 bibliographic records for the years 1949 to 2004, with 12,500 new records added each year. 1,500 periodicals are analyzed each year as well as 500 articles in collections and conference papers. Publication information for articles is accompanied by a brief abstract.

Latin American Data Base 
Description: LADB is a news and educational service on Latin America. LADB produces three weekly news bulletins about Mexico (SourceMex), Central America and the Caribbean including Cuba (NotiCen), and South America (NotiSur) and maintains an online searchable database of over 24,000 articles from back issues of LADB publications) as well as Latin American journals. LADB also offers free lesson plans about Latin America designed for secondary school teachers, and a teaching materials and resources database.

Latino Literature 
Description: (LALI) Approximately 48 plays and 13,000 pages of prose and poetry by Chicano, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican and other Latin writers working in the United States. When complete this database will include 100,000 pages of fiction and poetry and 450 plays. The vast majority of the materials are from the Chicano Renaissance to the present. About 30% of the database is previously unpublished or rare materials.
